Monopoly Money Just Got Real, Kids.

Guess who I saw today?  Michelle.  (shoot, Joe, I forgot to tell her you said hi....Michelle, if you're reading this, WHICH I KNOW YOU ARE YA CREEP, Joe says hi.)

Michelle and I went to high school together.  Then we both moved 10 miles away from Washburn, in opposite directions.  We don't see each other often, but somehow we keep in touch.  And today we enjoyed lunch at the Big Water Cafe in Bayfield.  (Cute place.  I recommend it.)

Turns out she's studying abroad in Australia pretty much the same time I'll be in NZ.  Which is crazy.  Crazy perfect.  Because if I'm maybe thinking of scooting over to check out Australia over spring break (well...technically it will be fall...) perhaps meeting up with Michelle wouldn't be a bad idea.  And if she's ever thinking of checking out NZ, then maybe we can explore Middle Earth together for a bit.

So now let's put things in perspective.

There, now we have perspective.  But mostly I just wanted to include a graphic.

What's that you say?  You like pictures?  You're a visual learner?  Well you're in luck!  Because here's another photo.

THIS IS WHAT NZ MONEY LOOKS LIKE.
I can't even handle it.

This picture doesn't do it justice.

It's sooo pretty.
It's so pretty I'm gonna die.

It's like monopoly money just got real, kids.

  3. My thoughts exactly! And they're not holes, they're like transparent plastic thingys. A+ for good observation.

  5. Oh my gosh! There's the answer to the soaring personal debt crisis in the US! Our money is too ordinary. Make it too pretty to spend, and we won't! Uh oh, we might still go into great debt, just to have enough of it lying around to entertain our eyes. Oh, well, it was a nice idea while it lasted.
