Weight & South Island.

Chris goes to a gym that is literally across the street.  Convenient, right?  At first I thought, "buying a gym membership while I'm here?  That's BS!"  But I must admit...I've wandered over there a couple times.  This morning the lady assessed me.  Took my weight and measurements and what-not.  When I saw 72 kg on the scale I mumbled, "good thing I don't know how to convert that to pounds, otherwise I'd probably be depressed right now."  Then the lady replies, "Oh don't worry!  I can convert that for you right now!"

10 pounds I've gained!!  (I figured this would happen.  See First Entry.)

The lady told me I really should be exercising daily and watching what I eat.  All I could think was, I've been caught...#@$%.  So when I come back from the South Island I'm going to give the 2-week free trial a whirl.  There are zumba and dance fitness classes which might be fun (according to my Stout friends that do that kind of thing.)

But yeah!  South island trip!  I don't have to go back to school until April 30th.  So Liz, Fahd and I are leaving today for Wellington and then renting a car in Picton.  This time tomorrow I'll be setting sail on the interislander ferry.  Here's our itinerary as Liz describes it:
The plan is to go to Wellington, take the ferry to Picton, drive to Nelson and Takaka Hill (LOTR), Franz Josef, Fox Glacier, Queenstown, go on a cruise in Milford Sound, Invercargill, street art in Dunedin, Christchurch, then back to Picton and Wellington, we’ll be back in Wanganui the 22nd sometime.
Please send us positive waves in hopes that car trouble will be minimal.  I promise to take lots of pictures ...and maybe even make a video??  Only time will tell.
