Saturday.

Beginning yesterday (hah) I've been checking out USD rates compared to NZD rates.  The exchange rate was really good about 6 days ago...I should have started watching it sooner!  But I got two months before heading over so I'm hoping it will go down again.  I went to the bank and asked about exchanging ahead of time...they were trying to talk me out of it because its expensive to order (20 bucks...) and it would be better to do at the airport.  But I feel like the airport will be just as expensive, if not more.  I mean...its the AIRPORT.  I also have to wire some money to NZ for my residency deposit.  My bank talked me out of it again!  "It's expensive...can't you do it a different way?...maybe you should wait until closer to the deadline...what if you break your leg and can't go...."  Valid points but it still has to be done before the end of December and I'd rather do it sooner than later because knowing me, I'll forget.  Back to the exchanging fiasco, Liz's bank exchanges for free, so I might just get in on that with her.

Speaking of Liz, she kind of got some bad news today so I hope her family is well.  I was shopping in Eau Claire and found a little christmas/travel/miscellaneous gift for each of us.  I'd tell you what it is but...what if she reads this??  Its kind of dorky so I hope she likes it.

The semester is winding down and I am getting burned out.  There are a couple winTerm classes being offered that sound really awesome.  But they are not online.  And I can't decide if I want to pay for 3 credits or save that money.  And if I want to live by myself for 2 weeks in the apartment.  Blahhhhh.

Last but not least...its snowing!  The drive back from Eau Claire almost gave me a heart attack.  I can't wait to swap the second half of winter for sunshine on the other side of the world.  :p
