Closure?
Well. School is over. Just got to turn in my GD History journal tomorrow and then that is it. Some of the international students are going home this week (or have already gone home) for the four week holiday. And other kids are off traveling or retreating to other cities where they have family. Beth is on the south island right now with her mom and dad for a week or so. Liz is going to Wellington and Napier for a bit next weekend to do some photoshoots for her photojournalism project. I don't really want to go because I've been to Wellington already and I can't be bothered to spend $50 on a bus ticket to see what I've already seen. So I might just hang out here in Wanganui and enjoy my boredom before I have to return to real life in two weeks. TWO WEEKS. I can't believe school is over already. And one by one saying goodbye. I would almost say that it is draaaaggging on. If school ended and then I went home a few days after perhaps that would be better than this slow and painful realization that a fantastic journey is coming to an end. Is this what the rest of my life will be like? Graduating from Stout and saying goodbye to all of my friends as we find jobs in different parts of the country? Then trying to grow roots in one place only to switch careers and start all over again? Constantly meeting new people and then saying goodbye. I guess it isn't anything I haven't had to do before. But funny how moving around the midwest was always something I secretly looked forward to. I see now that packing is a real pain in the neck, but before it was like I got all kinds of new stuff. A new house! A new bedroom to decorate! A new backyard! A new school for a new me. But right now I have mixed feelings.
