Chinese New Year Festival.

Even though The Chinese New Year started awhile ago...(?)...Wanganui celebrated it today I guess.  It was pretty fun, a small celebration in the middle of town at the band shell.  I was only there for an hour but everyone seemed to be having a good time.

There was a performance of the Chinese Lion...similar to the whole Chinese Dragon thing where two people are inside being the legs and dancing.  The kids LOVED it.  They would try petting the lion and then the lion would chase them around.  It was pretty cute.

Then there was a booth where they were making noodles.  It was fun to watch.

Then Liz and I left to go eat Thai food.  I know, I know, it's not Chinese.  But I got sweet and sour pork. Yummmmmmm.
