3D Modeling looks like it will be pretty dec. Had that this morning from 9-12. Vik, the professor, seems like a pretty cool guy. He's from India. Illustration (which I finally found out) is Monday from 1-4...but it was cancelled this week so no class this afternoon. Beth was upset because she was worried two of her classes might be overlapping...but thankfully it worked out because one is Monday evening.
So after all this hub-bub about classes and times, it looks like everything is finally falling into place. Our school IDs should be done by tomorrow if not this this afternoon. So all in all: *sigh of relief*
BUT DON'T RELAX YET.
Because the next hurdle is planning what we are going to do for the 2 week break in April. Originally Liz and I wanted to pop over to Australia for a week and then do the South Island for a week. But tickets to Australia have gone up A LOT since we looked last November. So I'm just gonna call this a blessing in disguise that we get to spend a full 2 weeks on the south island.
Transportation is the biggest thing. We found a deal on inter city bus that would let us bundle up bus trips and the ferry for a pretty good deal. On the other hand, Chris was crunching numbers last night about renting a car and paying for gas...and splitting that four ways doesn't look bad either.
Driving a car would be nice because we could leave whenever we wanted, and go places the bus won't go, and stop wherever we want. The only problem.......do all of us really want to spend 2 weeks in a car road tripping with each other? Debatable. And what if we don't agree on places to go or how long we stay? And what ever happened to riding a train??? On the other hand, isn't that what traveling is about? Just go with the flow and don't have expectations. Road tripping would definitely be fun. Definitely be worth it. Definitely have some good stories after the fact.
Then again buses are just as well. Hmmmm.
